THE SURREALIST PAINTER ART
Salvador Dali
surrealist painter
He was a Spanish surrealist painter and printmaker, influential for his explorations of subconscious images.
Dalí employed extensive symbolism in his work. For example, the hallmark of "melting clocks" that first appear in The Persistence of Memory suggests Einstein's theory that time is relative and not fixed. The idea for clocks to work symbolically in this way occurred to Dalí when he was looking at a runny piece of Camembert cheese on a hot August day.
The Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation guided us so that we could continue with his Legacy, and now we bring you the Salvador Dalí Collection.
