Chinkultic Maya Ballgame Marker
This Silver Ballcourt Marker is a replica of a wonderfully preserved stone disc that belonged to the category known as ballcourt markers, which were placed on the floor of the ballcourt. The motif is, of course, a ballplayer in the act of hitting a ball with his hip and the text relates the dedication date of the ballcourt in which it was installed.
